You're my Valentine
Ezio Stavropoulos
you've had a surprise hanging over me for two weeks now but i've got a few things myself. i still don't know what mine is but this is yours. i'm not going to get sweet on you, i promise. but you are my valentine, so you've got to get something out of this deal right? i hope you like your gifts. i didn't want to go that cheesy typical roses and chocolate route and throw sixty pounds of pink on you. maybe i put too much thought into these gifts (probably, i am me after all) but i wanted to get you things that wouldn't just be nice for the week of love but that would last you. it is valentines day, though, so you had to get some sweets. i hope you like nostalgia.
as for the cd, i warn you now, it turned out to be a bit mushy. so, deal with that. every song has a purpose, you can figure out what they are, except for the last track, ask me about the last track. i know my music taste is vastly different than yours, but i hope you like it any way. lastly, i wanted you to know that i may not have bid on you for a date but i donated a chunk of money to the cancer research institute in your (and your fathers) name.
and alright, i guess i lied. this is where i get a little sweet and say thank you. thank you for entering my life. for being there when i've needed someone. for making me laugh and for challenging me. thank you for pushing me and for letting me in. for getting me to open up and for listening. thank you for being my friend and for effortlessly making me want to be a better person. thank you for being great in bed so i didn't have to awkwardly ice you out after the first time and for being a great roommate so i didn't have to regret my giving nature and then kick you out. but most of all, thank you for being you because who you are is truly wonderful.
happy valentines day,
