buttonbell today is my twenty-second birthday. that means it was twenty-two years ago that this beautiful soul gave her life for mine. not a day goes by that i'm not thankful to her for that. from all the stories i've heard of her she was a pretty badass woman and i will forever be blessed to say i come from her. so this one's for you mom. here you are at twenty-two and now, here i am too. if you all have your moms, remember to hug them tight and tell them you love them even if sometimes you hate them. one day they won't be there any more and you'll wish you had. #ripmom

buttonbell first work out of 2017. core stability has always been my weakest point and this year i'm determined to work hard on it. i know january is a popular time at the gym with all the new year resolutions. just remember for any of you who are just starting out: you don't have to be good, you don't have to keep up with anyone, just don't give up. don't get discouraged if no one notices the changes. you will always be the first, then those who know you the best, before anyone else will ever see the difference. but it will come if you just keep trying. you got this.
